Little did I know that in my state, with the standard 3-day suspension, teachers aren't required to provide the work that the student misses while their gone. On top of that, suspended students can't take part in ANY school functions. So, my daughter missed running in the state championships her freshman year, which would have been an excellent addition to her college application. By the time it was all said and done, my daughter had a rap sheet for fighting and had to attend continuation school just to get her diploma! This SHOULDN'T HAPPEN to ANY child!
